Salma Hayek celebrates ageing by showcasing her grey hair on Instagram
Age-inclusivity has totally been making strides in the beauty industry of late, thanks largely to a whole plethora of A-list celebrities who are openly embracing their natural grey hair.
The latest celebrity to go grey and proud is actress Salma Hayek who took to Instagram to proudly show of her silvery strands.
‘#proud of my white hair. #hair,’ she captioned in an Instagram photo of her showcasing her natural locks.

While this time she was showing off her natural grey strands, last year, the 52-year-old donned an entirely grey wig for her role in The Hummingbird Project.
And boy did she rock it.
Grey hair isn’t the only thing the Mexican-American actress has been rocking recently. Last month, the ‘Hitman’s Bodyguard’ star shared a photo of herself in a swimsuit to her 8.7 million followers on Instagram – and the Internet absolutely loved it.
Salma Hayek isn’t the only celebrity to celebrate the grey, as Pinterest searches for ‘going grey’ increased by 879 per cent last year, other members of the A-list are also jumping on the grey hair, don’t care band wagon and embracing their natural locks.

Back in October Erin O’Connor took to Insta to show off her white/grey streak comparing the colour to the clouds.
“My hair matches the clouds…” the pregnant supermodel captured a shot of her wrapped up in an on trend dog-tooth print coat.
And last year Chrissy Teigen embraced her newly developed silvery streaks by heading to Twitter to rave about them.
“I have a skunk like streak of grey hair and I’m actually very into it,” she wrote.
“My cruella dreams are coming true!”

Chrissy’s tweet certainly struck a chord with other women with grey, as within hours of sharing it had clocked up 56K likes, 1.6K retweets and almost a thousand comments from other women who have also chosen to embrace the natural part of ageing.
It’s not only women loving on the grey either. Last month ‘Bodyguard’ star Richard Maddon won the 2019 National Television Awards when he rocked the red carpet with a silvery streak.
“Jesus, that salt and pepper hair does things to a woman”, one social media user wrote.
While another simply commented: “Isn’t he a snack?”
Turns out grey is totally the new black!
