Royal baby news live: Meghan Markle gives birth to a son
Meghan Markle gave birth to a boy, weighing 7lbs 3oz, at 05:26am BST.
A beaming Harry said both mother and baby are doing “incredibly well.”
Prince Harry says he will make another announcement in two days’ time “so everyone can see the baby.”
The new parents are “still thinking about names.”
The child is the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild and seventh in line to the throne.
Some reports say the couple had a home birth as planned with Doria Ragland thought to be with Meghan.
It’s thought Harry kept the palace in the dark until after Baby Sussex arrived.
