Rihanna offers a modern take on 'Beauty and the Beast's Belle
If you ever wondered what Rihanna might have worn had she have been cast as Belle in the Beauty in the Beast, now we have the answer - head-to-toe yellow obviously, but instead of a traditional ballgown she'd opt for a voluminous high-waisted skirt with a thigh-baring slit and a jersey crop top knotted at the front.
The pop star wore the custom-made Oscar de la Renta look to the launch of her debut Fenty Beauty line in New York last night. She hosted a party attended by the titans of the beauty world, as well as her campaign star, model Duckie Thot.
Rihanna continued her yellow theme with oversized gold Chopard hoops and gold René Caovilla heels that wrapped up her legs. The star's jewellery also had a Midas touch appeal - she wore an array of gold, bejewelled rings and a glittering watch. Her make-up followed the same colour palette, with shimmering eyeshadow and blush.
Rihanna's debut Fenty beauty line has been much anticipated since it was first announced in February. The budget-friendly collection is now available to buy at Harvey Nichols.
