The Queen has a previously unseen photo of Harry and Meghan
Queen Elizabeth is the same as any proud grandmother.
In a recent photograph of the Queen during a meeting at Buckingham Palace, eagle-eyed reporters from Hello! Magazine noticed a previously unseen photograph of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle proudly on display.
The Queen was meeting with the Honourable George Brandis, the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, on Wednesday morning.
In the background of a photo taken during their meeting, a framed picture of Prince Harry and his now-wife sits front and centre on a side table in the sitting room. The couple appears to be in a formal setting, much different than the casual and romantic portraits they released to the public.
While the photo has not been released to the public, it is believed to have been taken as part of the engagement photo session by fashion photographer, Alexi Lubomirski.
Lubomirksi is himself descended from Polish royalty, and is a prince by title. The New York City-based photographer shares his work of celebrities such as Beyoncé, Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie.
Lubomirski was referred to the royal couple after a friend of Markle’s saw his work on Instagram.
“It was nutty. It was a very surreal end to the year because it came out of nowhere,” Lubomirski recalled. “I think one of Meghan’s friends saw me on Instagram that I was in England during the announcement of the engagement and I was told later that this person said to her, ‘You should meet Alexi. He’s great. You’d love him,’ and that was it.”
