But did you know Her Royal Majesty is also partial to a specific gin cocktail?
British etiquette expert, William Hanson, revealed the Queen’s favourite cocktail is said to be a gin and Dubonnet. And she is not the only royal to enjoy the tipple…
Hanson shared a video on his Instagram, captioning the post: “How to make the perfect gin and Dubonnet. The drink of choice of Their Majesties The Queen and The Queen Mother”.
In the video guide on how to make the cocktail, the etiquette connoisseur says it’s a “refreshingly fruity drink with a slightly bitter edge”.

1. Pick a wine glass or lowball tumbler for your cocktail.
2. Add three ice cubes to the glass.
3. Take your measure and add one part gin to two parts Dubonnet, which is a fortified red wine.
4. Add a slice of lemon.
5. Stir and serve as a pre-dinner aperitif. Voila!
