Princess Beatrice has sent a rare personal message to royal fans as she thanked them for their well wishes after marrying Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July.
The royal posted two photos on her Twitter account on Friday afternoon, from their big day, and said: “Thank you to everyone who has sent in and tweeted their best wishes for our special day in July. Edo and I are so excited to embark on this new chapter together.”
She added: “It was an honour to wear my grandmother’s beautiful dress on my wedding day, I hope many of you are able to visit the exhibition which is still open at Windsor Castle.”
Beatrice, who is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, hadn’t tweeted since September 2019, when she announced her engagement to Mozzi.
It came on the same day that Mozzi revealed some details of their life at home, in an interview with the Financial Times.

Mozzi, who has a son from a previous relationship, told the paper: “I’ve fallen in love with cooking again. It’s been the epicentre of our family life and we come together for every meal. We are lucky enough to have a small vegetable garden and we cook seasonally. Even my son has got involved.”
He also said he would never part with his wedding ring, and shared that he always has a bottle of Casamigos tequila in his fridge.
His brother-in-law Jack Brooksbank, who is married to Princess Eugenie, is a brand ambassador for the company.
Beatrice and Mozzi had a secret wedding on 17 July, choosing to wed quietly at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge, Windsor.

They had been planning a grander day in London, including a reception in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, but had to postpone the ceremony and call off plans for the party because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Beatrice does not carry out official royal duties on behalf of the Queen but does enjoy a close relationship with Her Majesty, represented in the Queen’s willingness to lend her a dress for the wedding day.
The only official portraits released showed the happy couple and the Queen with Prince Philip.
Although Beatrice’s parents were present, they were not pictured in official images.
Beatrice and Mozzi both work full-time, and Mozzi was being interviewed in his role as a property developer.
