Prince William leaves viewers in tears with emotional meeting on DIY SOS: Grenfell
The Duke of Cambridge had an emotional meeting on DIY SOS: Grenfell with Nabil, a man who lost several members of his family in the fire last year.
After joining Nick Knowles and the team to help with the rebuild of a boxing academy on the BBC special last week, Prince William returned to assist them with the new community centre in the second episode.
The royal told Nabil: “I can only imagine what you’ve had to go through, you and your family, it’s truly horrendous.”
“No one should ever have to go through, what you’ve gone through.”
Nabil revealed: “Not everyone is getting the support they should be getting.”
When William asked him what areas the support is lacking in, Nabil said: “On the mental side and physical side.
“It’s just very, it’s a very hard process and hopefully with guiding and support, I’m not saying it will solve problems, but it’s just how it happened… it’s as if it happened yesterday.”
Taking hold of Nabil’s hand, William told him: “I hope what’s happening here is a sign that there a lot of people who care about you and your community and want to help and this will be a lasting legacy towards that support.
“I know that those are just words to you, but there are a lot of people who care what’s happened to this community and want it to get better.
He added: “I really hope it brings you some sense of solace in the end.”
The royal also urged Nabil to “stay strong.”

During the first episode, William set to work with the redecoration of a new boxing gym, to replace the original Dale Youth Club, lost in the blaze.
He met with 14-year-old boxer Jodie, who lost a friend in the fire, and gave him some advice on how to cope with grief and loss.
The Grenfell fire broke out in the early hours of June 14, 2017, claiming the lives of 72 people and leaving hundreds homeless.
William and the Queen visited victims near the site, just days after the tragedy.
