Prince Michael Jackson makes his Canadian red carpet debut at the 2018 iHeart Radio MMVAs
Prince Michael Jackson made his Canadian awards show debut with a powerful message for young fans.
The 21-year-old heir to the King of Pop arrived in Toronto for the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs on Sunday night, happily posing for photos with fans on the red carpet.
The eldest of Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael Jackson was a presenter at the annual music video awards show, taking the stage to introduce a performance by 17-year-old Dutch musician, bülow.
Before bülow took the stage, Jackson encouraged all the young viewers to get involved in causes that they believe in.
While Jackson could very well rest on the laurels and success of his famous family, in 2017 he founded Heal Los Angeles, a non-profit organisation that helps support and raise funding for social issues such as education reform and ending homelessness.
“You’re never too young to speak out and stand up,” he said.
Through Heal Los Angeles, Jackson hopes to further his father’s mission of ending child abuse and world hunger through deceased entertainer’s Heal the World organization.
Aside from being an active philanthropist, Jackson hopes to forge a career for himself in the music industry as a producer.
In 2016, Jackson worked with Norwegian rapper Omer Bhatti on his single, “Automatic,” releasing the single under his production company, King’s Son Productions.
“Music is a big part of my life,” Jackson said in a 2016 interview. “It shaped who I am because of my family, but I’ve always wanted to go into production. My dad would ask me what I wanted to do and my answer was always producing and directing.”
