Prince Harry calls UK public's response to the coronavirus pandemic 'wonderfully British'
Earlier this week, Prince Harry was seen carrying out charity work with wife Meghan Markle in their new home of Los Angeles, where they are now living with baby son Archie.
The Duke of Sussex, 35, has now praised the UK’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen NHS workers and hundreds of thousands of volunteers step up to help the country in lockdown.
Speaking on the Declassified podcast - which documents stories from members of the military - he described the national effort as "wonderfully British" and revealed himself to be "incredibly proud".
The father-of-one said: “I want to say a huge thank you, as we all do, to all of the NHS workers and everybody that's volunteering.

"Because up and down the UK, whether it's from Dorset up to Staffordshire, there are literally hundreds of thousands of people volunteering."
Harry, who officially stepped down as a senior royal last month, continued: “It's such a wonderfully British thing that we all come to help when we need it."
As well as the 750,000 people who have signed up help the NHS, the duke also paid special tribute to Captain Tom Moore - the World War Two veteran, 99, who has raised more than £25m for NHS charities by walking laps of his garden.
He said: "Congratulations to Tom, I think what he's done is utterly amazing.

"It's not just what he's done, it's the reaction that people have had as well, I think is again just wonderfully British.
"I'm just so incredibly proud to see what these individuals up and down the country and across the world are doing on a day-to-day basis."
Harry appeared on the podcast to encourage veterans to volunteer and join Team Rubicon UK, who are helping the government’s fight against coronavirus.
The duke added: "It just makes me incredibly proud to see the Brits stepping up like this, but I really, really hope that this keeps going after coronavirus and after this whole pandemic has come to a close."

It comes as it was revealed that Meghan, 38, will be making her first TV appearance next week since leaving her royal role.
The Duchess of Sussex will be interviewed on Good Morning America tomorrow about new Disney documentary Elephant.
A preview of the segment shared on television shows the mum-of-one speaking about the new programme, which she narrated.
"On GMA Monday, Meghan Markle with an exclusive first look at the Disney documentary Elephant," said a voice-over in the advert.
