Prince Harry says Meghan Markle is his ‘favourite smell’
Prince Harry has revealed what his favourite smell is – and it’s not a home-cooked meal, a specific flower, or even the scent of his favourite place. The Duke of Sussex’s preferred smell? His wife, Meghan Markle.
Harry revealed this snippet of information on a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert during the host’s "Colbert Questionert" segment.
Filmed in January but only airing this week, the segment saw Colbert ask Harry a range of questions, including what his favourite smell is.
“My wife,” Harry replied without further explanation, referring to the Duchess of Sussex.

During the segment Harry also revealed what his favourite sandwich was: a “cheese and ham toastie with dijon mustard on top,” which has to be made in a toastie machine.
When Colbert questioned whether a toastie machine was the same as a panini press, Harry clarified that it was, adding: “I have to be sort of careful with these questions because the Americanisms to the British-isms, it's very different.
“Got me and my wife into a little trouble at the beginning of our relationship,” he added.
When asked about the five words he would use to describe the rest of his life, Harry replied: “Freedom, happiness, clarity, space, love.”

It is yet to be confirmed whether Harry will be attending the coronation of his father, King Charles III, in May, but invitations to the event were said to have been sent out this week.
Harry and Meghan attended both the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and Her Majesty’s funeral in 2022, but it is unclear whether they will attend the coronation after the release of their Netflix documentary and Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare in which a number of allegations were made against members of the Royal Family.
