Poundland is selling a £1 vibrator, and no one’s sure how to feel

We live in a brave new world in which we can buy just about anything; doughnut-scented lipgloss, an alarm clock that wakes you with an orgasm - you name it.

And now, Poundland is breaking new ground by offering a vibrator at the low low price of a pound.

The bright pink Vibrating Bullet even comes with gel and wet wipes, and has - understandably - left shoppers totally baffled.

Most have found the concept simply hilarious, but others are asking all of the important questions such as whether such a cheap vibrator will deliver.

One person tweeted: “Who the hell buys a vibrator from Poundland? Surely it can’t be up to much for a quid!”

Another said: “My mother discovered the vibrator in Poundland and is now utterly horrified. It is hilarious.”

While another wrote: “As if you can buy a vibrator from Poundland!”

According to one sexologist, we need not worry about the bullet’s quality - Goedele Liekens told Channel 4′s Sex Box that it was “no different to something that you would pay about a hundred pounds for”.

Although the vibrators seem to have been around for a while, it’s been only recently that they’ve been such a big hit online - perhaps they sold well and so arrived in more stores this year.
