Poundland unleashes £9 Gucci lookalike trainers
If your bank account doesn’t quite support your dream shopping list then you’ll be pleased to learn that Poundland is here to answer your sartorial prayers.
The purse-friendly chain has sought inspiration from Gucci this season by launching a pair of £9 trainers which boast a striking resemblance to the luxury fashion house’s iconic £544 ‘Ace’ sneakers.
With the now-famous bee motif and three instantly recognisable stripes, the budget dupes are undoubtedly the next best thing to the A-list footwear.
The Gucci trainers are now a street style staple and were debuted as part of the Italian brand’s AW16 collection.
With an unmistakable green snakeskin leather panel at the back, the white lace-ups soon garnered cult status.
So good news for fashion followers, as the Poundland replicas can be purchased in-store from the brand’s Pep & Co label.
The launch comes after George at ASDA pleased shoppers by launching a pair of trainers also inspired by the Fashion Week favourite.
Although not made from leather, customers made a beeline for the £10 pair courtesy of its three stripes - causing them to sell out (twice).
