Playboy breaks with tradition to feature stunning plus size model Molly Constable
Think Playboy, think super slim models clad in skimpy leotards with bunny tails and ears. Well, think again. Because after featuring their very first transgender model on the cover, the men’s lifestyle magazine is breaking with tradition once again to feature a stunning plus-size model.
In their latest shoot, the men’s mag collaborated with rising star and curve model, Molly Constable and photographer Heather Hazzan in a bid to prove that sexy has no size boundaries.
And not only did the UK size 14 beauty absolutely smash it, she did so without wearing a scrap of make-up.

Named one of Vogue Rising Model Stars in 2017, Molly has also walked the runway with plus-size queen Ashley Graham and recently starred in Harpers Bazaar and LOVE.
She’s also making waves over on Instagram too, with over 24K followers, who were absolutely loving her ground-breaking appearance in Playboy.
“I really want to thank you cause you made me believe I can be pretty with my body because GRL UR AMAZING” one fan wrote.
“I’m so happy playboy is diversifying itself! We need more curvy babes in it!” another added.

Molly has previously spoken out about the lack of diversity in the fashion industry. “I have had make-up artists throw jabs at me for having stretch marks and them having to cover them up.
‘Your weight is not important. It’s how you act toward people and feel on the inside,” she told Daily Mail.

But she does believe that beauty standards within the industry are gradually starting to change.
“Everyone is starting to celebrate themselves unapologetically,” she told Vogue India. “At size 14, I didn’t think modelling a possibility.”
It’s more than a possibility Molly, you’re absolutely killing it!
Featuring a curve model isn’t the only way Playboy have been diversifying of late. Earlier this year, the infamous pin-up magazine asked seven older models and former Playmates to recreate their iconic covers in a bid to celebrate ageing and remind people that beauty is timeless.
And what with featuring a transgender model on the cover this year too, we can’t help but give props to the men’s mag for breaking out of it’s typical Playmate mould and tearing down age, size and gender boundaries in the process.
