Pippa Middleton goes down under for part two of luxe honeymoon
Pippa Middleton has already had the wedding of the year. Now, it looks like the 33-year-old is attempting to outdo everyone in the honeymoon stakes.
After marrying on May 20, Pippa and her new husband, James Matthews, jetted off to a remote island in tropical French Polynesia for a truly private week.
The couple have now touched down in Sydney for the second part of their lavish honeymoon.
Pippa and James were spotted enjoying a boat trip along the famous Australian harbour.
The recent bride swapped her couture wedding gown for a much more casual look. Wearing a black-and-white striped dress, Pippa paired the off-duty ensemble with a pair of espadrille wedges and a chain leather bag.
She was also seen arriving at Darwin airport in a Victoriana-inspired ruffled white shirt and jeans with the same pair of black espadrilles.
They are reportedly staying in an extravagant suite at the Park Hyatt hotel, costing £11,000 a night.
That’s a lot more than Pippa’s sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, and her husband, Prince William, spent on their honeymoon.
The royal couple, who married in April 2011, headed off to stay in a £4,000-a-night villa in the Seychelles.
Yes, they practically had the entire island to themselves but Pippa has way outdone her older sister cost-wise.
It’s not surprising considering the amount Pippa and James’ wedding cost. The entire day – which featured a fly-by from a vintage plane along with a grand glass marquee – is expected to have cost over £100,000.
