Pippa Middleton's wedding has kickstarted some major new wedding trends
How much do you think your wedding would influence the world? Probably not that much but then you’re not Pippa Middleton.
The youngest Middleton sister’s wedding to James Matthews has already had a big effect on wedding trends, according to wedding planning site Bridebook.
The couple may have only married last Saturday but their high-profile day has caused a huge increase in searches for specific wedding dresses and unique entertainment.
Experts have predicted that Pippa’s nuptials may kickstart a resurgence in traditional – and incredibly lavish – English weddings.
Pippa’s bespoke Giles Deacon dress sparked an 81% rise in searches for high-necked lace gowns, signalling a potential downturn in big pouffy styles.
Bridebook are also expecting to see less of an interest in tent styles in the next year thanks to the couple’s infamous glass marquee. Although it reportedly cost over £100,000, searches for the grand building went up over 10,000% in less than a week.
The vintage green Jaguar that transported Pippa and James to their wedding reception has caused a major interest in vintage cars perfect for your big day. An 85% increase in such transportation was seen on the site.
Lastly, Pippa’s evening entertainment has seen people clamouring to find the most unique way of keeping their guests occupied. Pippa and James hired a Spitfire plane to fly by the Middleton family home and also included projection mapping on the day which saw images of the couple projected onto the outside of the grand mansion.
This has caused a 45% uptick in searches for unusual wedding entertainment.
Brace yourselves for some Pippa-like nuptials in the very near future.
