Pink prosecco flavoured cheese exists
When was the last time you were browsing the supermarket dairy aisles and really felt like something was missing? Do you think the void would be filled by a Wensleydale that looks pink and tastes like prosecco? Probably, TBH.
In one company's attempt to pack all things millennial into one product, pink prosecco cheese now exists. And we'd be lying if we said we weren't keen to give it a try.
The new creation by cheese gurus The Great British Cheese Company almost looks like some kind of delicious dessert but the brand is confident it will be a Christmas hit.
"The idea to pair Prosecco and Raspberry with Wensleydale produces savoury, sweet and acidic flavour combinations", a spokesperson for the company told Pretty 52.
"Crumbly but milky Wensleydale, sweetness from Raspberries and the acidity from Prosecco produces a creamy but sweet raspberry flavoured cheese, with the Prosecco acidity cutting through your palette as you taste the cheese."
See that actually all sounds rather dreamy, don't you think?
The cheese is part of the Great British Cheese Company's flavoured wax truckles, and costs £4.50 for a 200g hit.
You can buy the cheese on the company's website, where you'll also find other unusual flavours such as sticky toffee, peri peri and chilli and lime.
