Who's who in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 11-strong entourage
Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex completed their inaugural overseas visit to Ireland.
Included in their busy, 24-hour schedule was at least eight engagements and four outfit changes for the couple – plus a lot of Irish officials to meet and greet.
Fortunately, the couple was well supported. They landed in Dublin with an 11-strong entourage, including a hairdresser, PA, photographer and more.
Each member of the group played a key role in making sure the trip ran smoothly, but who is who?
A centrepoint of the entourage was Amy Pickerill, the Duchess’s assistant private secretary.
Aside from managing the Duchess’s hefty schedule, handling official correspondences, and booking appointments, Pickerill accompanies Meghan on nearly all of her formal engagements making sure everything runs smoothly.
Pickerill recently joined Meghan on her first solo engagement with the Queen in Cheshire.
Ed Lane Fox, who has worked with Prince Harry for five years, was also along for the trip.
Fox stepped down from his role as private secretary in April, but joined the couple in Ireland to finish his term.
During this time, he helped with the planning of the royal wedding and played a key role in growing Prince Harry’s beloved Invictus Games.
The couple’s advisor, Sir David Manning, was also on board.
Manning is a former British diplomat and was appointed to the Household of Prince William and Prince Harry by the Queen in 2009, and later to the household of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shortly after they were married.
He now assists the newly married Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Jason Knauf, the couple’s communications secretary, also accompanied the couple, joined by other press officers in his team, Ciara Berry and Emily Rosselli.
Knauf has worked for the family for years as a communications specialist for Kensington Palace, and a big part of his role is acting as a liaison between the family and the public.
The couple also brought along their own digital media photographer, who is no doubt responsible for the photos posted on Kensington Palace’s official Twitter, chronicling their trip.

Finally, there was Meghan Markle’s hairstylist, George Northwood, who was responsible for her many quick-change hairstyles during the tour.
Northwood was the man responsible for the Duchess’s wedding reception hair and the brain behind her sleek low-buns and effortless curls on the tour.
The final three people are currently unaccounted for, but it’s likely they’re extra assistants.
Question: how do we get a job in Meghan and Harry’s crew?
