Peel-off foundation is now something you can buy
It’s been a big year for bizarre beauty releases, from edible bath bombs to carbonated and animal-themed face masks.
Foundation, meanwhile, has remained the classic, not-particularly edgy item in our make up bags.
Until now.
Peel-off foundation is the latest beauty trend to make you go ‘really?’ as it does exactly what it says on the tin.
Instead of getting face wipes out to remove it after a long day, you peel it off.
A little like a peel-off face mask.
Not4u Real Skin Patch is a Korean product that claims to create a barrier between make up and your skin, particularly protecting those who are prone to break outs.
It also says it protects against pollution and other irritants, and can be worn by itself too.
So far, so good, but when YouTuber and beauty blogger Raye Boyce tried it out, she figured it told a different story.
After putting it on, when she began layering her make up on top, the base layer soon started peeling.
So she decided to cut her losses and peel the whole lot off (to a horror-movie-like effect, may we add).
Or as she said, “I think I’ll pass.”
It was too good to be true after all.
