Parents are creating their own versions of Beyoncé's viral post-partum shoot
There’s no chance you missed Beyoncé’s pregnancy photoshoot.
Or more recently, the one unveiling the arrival of her twins, Sir Carter and Rumi.
Spreading across the internet like wildfire minutes after being posted, we can assume that the distinctive shot right down to the tie-die esque outfit, floral backdrop and baby blue veil will be iconic for years to come.
@Beyonce my friend shot herself, twins and toddler son, inspired by your shoot! did she nail it?! #beyoncetwins #twinning #Cartertwins pic.twitter.com/YiDQwHcpO3

And sure, it certainly must have taken one hell of a stylist and wad of cash to execute so perfectly.
But this hasn’t stopped parents doing their own take on the photographs.

On Twitter, mums and dads are sharing their own versions of Beyoncé’s snaps wearing their own floral gowns and get ups whilst holding their little ones.
Or more realistically, snaps of themselves passed out on sofas from exhaustion.

Because while Beyoncé is curiously flawless in all of her pictures, your average parent knows the dark, exhausting truths of having twins.
Very lovely picture of Beyonce and her twins. Here's mine when twins were about same age. Think I nailed it! Haha #Beyoncetwins #twinmummies pic.twitter.com/3i0gMy3yz9

That is that you’re more likely to be stuck in pyjamas with the curtains closed than perfectly done up at what looks like a seaside wedding venue.
It all kicked off when a mum from Ireland called Sharon Kellaway – who also recently gave birth to twins – posted a photo of her recreation of Beyonce’s motherhood scene on Facebook.

Captioned simply “the likeness is uncanny,” the post has now received more than 1,300 reactions on Facebook and hundreds of comments.
After finding out the post went viral, she replied underneath the photo with disbelief: “It’s gotten out of control! Was only spontaneous photo,” she wrote.

“No thought put into it.
“Wish I had stood up now but babies were too heavy and I was laughing that hard.”
Standing up or not, her friends and the public alike loved it.

“OMG you’re awesome, enough of the other one, YOU are the Queen,” wrote one commenter.
“Great sense of humour,” said another. “Well done and so much more realistic.”
