This 3-ingredient banana bread recipe is so simple to make
Banana bread is one of the tastiest sweet treats known to man. Plus, it’s an excellent way of using up any over-ripe bananas you might have hanging around.
Well, just when you thought banana bread couldn’t get any better, check this out: there’s a three-ingredient slow cooker banana bread recipe doing the rounds, and people are literally going bananas for it.
The recipe originally appeared on the Slow Cooker Recipes & Tips Facebook page a while ago, but people are now rediscovering it and it’s going down a storm.
And all it involves is three simple ingredients. Ingredients you likely already have at home. Firstly (surprise!) it's ripe bananas, then the other two ingredients are condensed milk (which doesn't have to be kept in the fridge and is likely already lurking in your store cupboard, and self-raising flour.
3-ingredient slow cooker banana bread recipe:
Ingredients:
5 mashed bananas
1 tin of condensed milk
2.5 cups of self-raising flour
Method:
First, you have to mix the ingredients together, then pour into a lined cake tin.
Add 3cm of water to the bottom of your slow cooker, and place the cake tin inside.
Place a tea towel under the lid, and cook that bad boy on high for two hours.
Et viola: the perfect banana bread!
Added tip: Serve with butter and golden syrup!
