This natural deodorant has a 5,000 person waitlist - and this is why you should make the switch too
Whether it’s the latest dry shampoo, mascara or an age-reversing night cream, beauty trends come in waves. A recent 5,000 person waitlist for one product is proving the latest trend may be natural deodorant.
While it was briefly back in stock, MegaBabe’s Rosy Pits’ natural deodorant has once again gone out of stock – most likely to accrue another huge waitlist of sweaty fans waiting for the product to come back in stock. Boasting skin soothing properties such as: green tea, sage and vitamin E, this natural deodorant has rave reviews from people who have claimed it’s ‘life changing’ and the ‘best in the market.’

With gland-blocking aluminum missing from the list, as well as drying alcohol, this natural deodorant is a popular alternative to the usual brands. What sets MegaBabe apart from other natural brands is the fact they don’t use baking soda. A common irritant found in most natural deodorants.
So should you make the switch?
There’s no denying that sweating – especially in this heatwave – is perfectly natural. While it may feel gross, it’s the body’s way of regulating your temperature and releasing toxins. Antiperspirants and regular deodorants work by clogging pores which deters the body from properly sweating out everything it needs to.
And when it comes to sweat, it’s not actually making you smell bad. Sweat is a mixture of water and salt – the odor releases when your sweat comes in contact with bacteria that is living on your skin. And as for those white t-shirts with the dreaded sweat stains on them? That’s the result of aluminum reacting to the fabric, leaving its mark on your favourite clothes.
Some believe there is a connection between breast cancer and deodorant but, according to Cancer Research UK, the rumours surrounding breast cancer and deodorant are just that – rumours.
“These concerns were started by an e-mail hoax. There is no convincing evidence that antiperspirants and deodorants cause breast cancer,” states the website. “The original e-mail claimed that antiperspirants stop your body from sweating out poisons. It suggested that these toxins build up in the lymph glands under the arm and cause breast cancer. But the details of this are wrong. Breast cancers start in the breast and only later spread to lymph glands. Your body also has several ways of getting rid of toxins, and while sweating is one of them, it is a different system to the lymph glands.”

Despite Cancer Research UK debunking the breast cancer myth, there are still a few reasons why you should be swapping to a natural deodorant. With the obvious health benefits of using natural products, your skin will improve due to the moisturizing and antioxidant properties of the all-natural ingredients. Plus, good bacteria will keep working on your skin as natural deodorant doesn’t block the pores. This means you’ll most likely sweat less when you’re completely deodorant free – and it’s a good idea to give your armpits a break when you can.
When making the switch to natural deodorant, not all bodies will take the same. Every body has a different chemistry meaning it may take a few different brands to find your natural deodorant soulmate. And if your body isn’t adjusting right away – don’t sweat it (pun intended), the switch to natural deodorant takes time as your body balances itself out.
