Natalie Portman rescues co-star from wardrobe malfunction on Venice Film Festival red carpet
Us girls have got to help each other out: whether it’s the simple gesture of rearranging a friends’ necklace clasp or tucking in a clothing label, it doesn’t go unforgotten.
And Natalie Portman is one woman who appears to be well-attuned to girl code.
In the ultimate move of female solidarity, the actress rescued her ‘Vox Lux’ co-star, Raffey Cassidy, when she appeared to be having trouble with her gown on the Venice Film Festival red carpet.
When 16-year-old Cassidy’s gorgeous blue gown appeared to get caught in her shoes, Portman, 37, swooped down to help with her without a blink.
Director, Brady Corbet, and co-star, Stacy Martin, also appeared to be assisting with the situ. After a few tense minutes, Cassidy’s dress was freed and the cast gave a little cheers and round of applause.
Good team work, guys.
The ‘Black Swan’ actress stole the spotlight on the red carpet wearing a custom Gucci, gold sequinned gown with platform heels and loose curls.
Usually a Dior-devotee, it was great to see her sparkle in one of Alessandro Michele’s designs.
Portman and co were in Venice for the premiere of ‘Vox Lux’, an American music drama written by Brady Corbet.
