Mum expecting triplets goes viral after sharing incredible images of her journey
The human body is an incredible thing and one Norweigan mother has set out to remind us that pregnancy is one of the greatest examples why.
Maria Jorstad is expecting triplets with her Danish husband Anders and has been documenting her journey via Instagram.

Under the username @triplets_of_copenhagen, Maria has been sharing everything from hospital scans to candid confessions on the emotional challenges that come hand-in-hand with pregnancy.
Soon enough, Maria amassed over 127,000 followers thanks to her refreshingly honest snaps of the new family car and the cot squeezed into their 80 square-metres apartment.

In one recent post, the 36-year-old shared a week-by-week photo alongside the caption: “What a journey this has been! From the huge shock of learning there were three, to people’s reactions, the numerous scans/checks and all the preparations and planning for this life-changing event. Nothing like the ordinary.”

“I’m glad we took these pictures, because this collage really shows the massive growth. It’s strange to have ended up with such a big belly and it’s even stranger that it can stand out like that without falling down!”
Social media users soon took to the post to share their support for the couple. One wrote: “Thank you for sharing your incredible journey! Wishing you and your family all the happiness in the world.”
While another couldn’t hide their astonishment as they commented, “This is so amazing! I don’t know how people do more than one – you’re a superhero!!!!”

The couple – who are already parents to a two-year-old son – were surprised to learn that they were expecting triplets, as they got pregnant through IVF making their announcement incredibly rare.
In the run-up to the birth, Maria revealed via Instagram that it’s now a “waiting game” and she’s spent her days watching TV, listening to podcasts and sleeping. Who can blame her?
Maria is due to have a cesarean on September 12 and we don’t know about you but we can’t wait for the triplets’ Instagram debut.
