In an emotional speech delivered during night one of the Democratic National Convention, first lady Michelle Obama spoke about teaching her children that “when they go low, we go high” — even when, in a direct reference to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, someone, for example, questions whether their father was born in the United States.

She talked about the importance of ensuring that whoever fills the office of president is a fighter for and role model for all children. And she fought back tears while reflecting on waking up every day over the past eight years in a house built by slaves and watching her daughters, “two incredible black young women,” play on the lawn of the White House with their dog.

She did all this while wearing a cap-sleeved, blue A-line dress by 30-year old Christian Siriano. The piece retails for $995 and is still available on the American designer ‘s website.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Mrs. Obama has worn something from Siriano. FLOTUS opted for a black dress with an asymmetrical hemline in early July during the memorial service for the five police officers who were killed by a sniper during a rally against police violence in Dallas, Texas.

Siriano’s been dressing a bunch of “boldface” names as of late. After Saturday Night Live’s Leslie Jones tweeted that no designers wanted to dress her for the Ghostbusters premiere, in which she stars, because she is not a sample size, Siriano quickly tweeted back that he would love to make a dress for her for this event. And he did — while celebrating the fact that women come in all shapes and sizes and that he loves to design clothes for all of them.

Earlier this month, Siriano married his long-time partner, musician and artist Brad Walsh, making Mrs. Obama’s call tonight to elect a president “who will teach our children that everyone in this country matters, that everyone is created equal” especially poignant.
