Melania Trump appears to take style cues from Meghan and Diana for lunch with the Queen
Melania Trump arrived at Buckingham Palace today for lunch with the Queen wearing a hat and dress combo that appeared to be inspired by two of Britain’s most stylish royals to date.
The First Lady, 49, who is currently accompanying her husband US President Donald Trump on his first UK state visit, arrived at the historic royal house to have lunch with the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles and the Queen.
Prince Harry is also expected to join for lunch.

For the occasion, Melania wore a tailored white collared pencil dress paired with a dark navy belt and a white hat.
Her hat is a custom creation by Herve Pierre, while her dress a bespoke design is by Dolce & Gabbana.
The outfit looked very familiar to two ensembles worn by royals: Princess Diana and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan wore a similar white dress cinched in at the waist with a belt and a matching monochrome hat for Ascot on 19 June last year.
It also pays more than a passing resemblance to a look the late Princess Diana wore while on tour in Tokyo, Japan in May 1986.

Other Twitter users are saying Melania’s look resembles a costume worn by Eliza Doolittle, the main character in ‘My Fair Lady’.
In the film, Eliza, who is played by Audrey Hepburn, wears a similar monochrome look to attend the Ascot Races.
Once again Melania arrives in costume, rolling into London like she’s Eliza Doolittle

Earlier today, Melania was ridiculed for a so-called 'cabin crew' outfit as she landed at London Stansted airport.
She also paid homage to the UK capital in a £2,650 Gucci dress printed with London landmarks as she boarded the Air Force One plane at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
