Meghan's touching tribute to Diana during royal tour
Eagle-eyed royal fans have spotted a touching tribute to Princess Diana in Meghan Markle’s outfit during the first day of royal tour duties in Sydney.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex started the day at Admiralty House, before heading to Taronga Zoo and then meeting thousands of royal fans lined up outside the Opera house.
Meghan looked stunning in an ivory Karen Gee dress, but it was her jewellery which drew some attention.

The Duchess chose to wear Princess Diana’s butterfly earrings and matching bracelet in a beautiful tribute to Harry’s late mum.
Diana was photographed wearing the jewels during a trip to Canada with Prince Charles in May 1986, just after Harry was born.
This is not the first time the pair have made sure to include Diana.Meghan’s engagement ring, which was designed by Prince Harry, also bears a nod to her late mother-in-law.
“The little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection to make sure that she’s with us on this – on this crazy journey together,” Harry said in the couple’s interview after their engagement.
Meghan also include a subtle tribute to Princess Diana in her wedding flower arrangement. Floral designer Philippa Craddock made sure to include Princess Diana’s favourite flower, the white rose, in Meghan’s bouquet.
Indeed, Princess Diana was so enamoured by white roses that the mulch made from all the flowers left outside Buckingham Palace when she died was used to plant white roses in The White Garden in Kensington Palace.
