Meghan (unsurprisingly) makes the top ten list of predicted baby names for girls in 2018
The ‘Meghan Markle Effect‘ is seemingly here to stay with her wardrobe alone already contributing a cool £500 million to the economy.
But it seems there’s new territory which has fallen victim to aptly dubbed, ‘Meghan Mania’.
Yes, the royal-to-be has already inspired the nation’s next generation of children, as Mother and Baby reports that Meghan now ranks sixth in the top ten predicted names for girls in 2018.
And it seems she may have pushed the once-popular Charlotte (courtesy of Princess Charlotte) aside, as the royal name hasn’t made an appearance in this year’s list.
Instead, other popular monikers include Amelia, Ella and Ava.
Mother and Baby‘s list of the top ten predicted girl’s names of 2018:
Amelia
Emily
Olivia
Ella
Ava
Meghan
Mia
Jessica
Isla
Isabella
But the news is hardly surprising, as the nation has fallen head over heels for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ever since their romance first came to our attention back in the summer of 2017.
FYI, Harry also made it into the top ten list of boy’s names for 2018 alongside Theo, George and Reuben. So if you plan on making a royal gesture, make sure to snap the monikers up before others have the same idea.
Though it’s interesting to note that we only recently discovered that the former Suits actress’ real name is in fact Rachel (Meghan is her middle name).
So we can’t help but wonder how long it will take for her original moniker to catch on…
