Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dress down for Invictus Games team trials in Bath
It’s just over six weeks until their highly-anticipated wedding, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still keeping busy with their royal duties. Today, the couple visited Bath to attend the UK team trials for the Invictus Games.
Harry and Meghan joined competitors to try out the athletics track and met with others taking part in the indoor sitting volleyball trials.
For the royal engagement, Meghan got into the spirit of things and donned the official Invictus Games polo shirt. To finish the look, the 36-year-old recycled her go-to pair of bootcut jeans by Mother Denim. FYI, they’re still up for grabs but make sure to be quick as they’re bound to be a major sell-out.
The former actress teamed her seriously-covetable denim with a £140 spring-ready trench by Canadian heavyweight, Babaton for Aritzia. Psst, it’s still available to shop!
It’s also interesting to note, that this is the first time Meghan hasn’t accessorised with a sell-out bag. In a breach of royal protocol, the 36-year-old eschewed tradition and seemingly left her collection of Strathberry numbers back at Kensington Palace…
The Invictus Games – which are taking part in Sydney in October this year – are presumably special to Harry, who founded the sporting event in 2014 for wounded and injured servicemen and women.
It’s also the place where Harry and Meghan made their first public outing, showing up to watch the wheelchair tennis together at the Invictus Games in Toronto in September.
Harry and Meghan are due to marry on 19 May with the world’s eyes watching.
