Meghan Markle's first public appearance since Archie's birth at Trooping the Colour

The Duchess of Sussex has made her first public appearance since giving birth to son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, at Trooping the Colour.

The new mum, 37, joined husband Harry, 34, to mark the Queen’s official birthday at the annual parade in London.

They were among the royals to take part in the carriage procession from Buckingham Palace along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade.

The Sussexes sat alongside the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meghan looked elegant in a wide-sleeved navy ensemble by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, with a matching beret style hat by Noel Stewart.

Her sister-in-law Kate chose a sunny yellow dress by Alexander McQueen with a Philip Treacy floral headpiece.

Camilla wore a green embroidered dress by go-to designer Bruce Oldfield and wide-brim cream hat from Philip Treacy.

Harry was dressed in his full Blues and Royals uniform. The duke does not ride on horseback during the parade because he does not hold the position of a royal colonel.

Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince William ride on horseback for Trooping the Colour because they are colonels of the Household Division.

The Queen, wearing Angela Kelly, travelled in the Scottish State Coach down The Mall from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.

Later today Her Majesty, who actually turned 93 on April 21, will watch the RAF fly-past from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, with the rest of the Royal Family.

While Meghan and Harry’s son Archie is not expected to be present, it’s thought that Kate and William’s youngest child Prince Louis will make his balcony debut.

Archie was born on May 6, 2019 at the Portland Hospital in London. Proud father Harry gave a brief interview after the birth on the day.

The duke and duchess gave the world the first glimpse of their newborn two days after the birth, during an intimate photocall at St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle.
