Last Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were going to step back as senior members of the Royal Family.
The couple’s statement, shared on the Sussex Royal Instagram page, stated that the couple will work towards becoming financially independent, as well as now balancing their time between the UK and North America.
The situation was quickly coined ‘Megxit’ and has since been a trending hashtag on social media as many voice their opinions on the royal split.
