Meghan Markle glows in first public appearance since returning from her honeymoon
Meghan Markle is back from her honeymoon. Her first order of business? Attending the Trooping of the Colour to celebrate her new great-grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth.
The annual celebration is held in honor of the monarch for her birthday and the entire royal family comes together at Buckingham Palace to watch a military parade. This year, the newly-named Duchess of Sussex scored an invite and was joined by her husband, Prince Harry.
The newlyweds made their way to the event in a horse-drawn carriage. Markle wore a off-the-shoulder dress from Carolina Herrera and a matching hat by Philip Treacy.
It’s actually the same fascinator she wore back in early May when she attended a garden party in honor of Prince Charles’s 70th birthday.
Other members of the royal family in the procession included Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. While officially on maternity leave until October after having her third child Prince Louis in April, she stepped out in a light blue dress from Alexander McQueen with a matching fascinator. Her seatmate, the Duchess of Cornwall, opted for a similar shade.
As did The Queen, who went with a brighter blue for the big day.
