Meghan Markle dresses diplomatically for debut Ireland trip in bottle green skirt and engagement knit
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s post-engagement tour is not over just yet, as the soon-to-be newlyweds arrived in Belfast this morning.
On the surprise visit, the couple were greeted by flag-bearing crowds, as they headed off to see some of the city’s famous landmarks.
Their debut stop was the Eikon Centre in Lisburn where they attended an event to honour the second anniversary of peace-building initiative, Amazing the Space.
Later, the couple enjoyed a pub lunch at The Crown Liquor Saloon followed by a tour of the Belfast campus of Northern Ireland’s science park, Catalyst Inc.

Laura-Anne from Belfast was particularly pleased to have met the royal-to-be, as she told Yahoo Style: “As they were coming out of the Crown Saloon, Harry asked if we were just heading to the pub! Meghan was so kind, stopping and talking to everyone with a smile and saying ‘thank you’ for the welcome.”
Prince Harry also took the opportunity to crack a joke, as he asked a group of male students from RBAI (Royal Belfast Academical Institution) if they should actually be in school.
For Meghan’s first visit to Ireland, the 36-year-old paid sartorial tribute to the Emerald Isle in a bottle green skirt by Toronto-based designer, Greta Constantine.
The royal-to-be accessorised the look with a sand-hued coat by go-to label, Mackage, which weighs in at £530. It was also an opportunity for the former actress to whip out one of her favourite looks to date, the £690 Victoria Beckham cashmere knit she donned in her engagement portraits.

The bride-to-be also seemingly referenced her royal future with a £175 Bloomsbury bag by British designer Charlotte Elizabeth. The accessory is supported by The Prince’s Trust, a charity founded in 1976 by Prince Charles. She finished the regal aesthetic with a pair of £495 copper-hued heels by Manolo Blahnik.
The couple will conclude their Irish tour with a visit to the Titanic Belfast where the now-legendary RMS Titanic was built between 1909 and 1912.
