Well, if a box of Thornton’s finest and a bunch of tulips won’t cut it this year then why not book a table for two at McDonald’s?
Yes, the mega chain is hosting three-course meals on Sunday in honour of mothers far and wide.
Following the success of the fast food restaurant’s Valentine’s Day offer, you can now book a sit-down meal at McDonald’s for just a tenner.
As a starter, you’ll be offered the choice of Mozzarella Dippers, four chicken nuggets or carrot sticks dipped in creamy Philadelphia cheese.
But make sure to make room for your main, as guests can choose from the Signature Collection Burger, Big Mac, Chicken Legend, Fillet O’Fish or the chain’s veggie burger.
And to finish the three-course extravaganza, customers can enjoy a wholesome fruit bag, muffin, McFlurry or the restaurant’s legendary apple pie.
But before you track down your local, note that the offer is sadly only available at Newcastle’s Northumberland Street chain.
