McDonald's customer throws hot coffee at employee after fries take too long
A McDonald’s drive-through customer is being sought by police after reportedly throwing a cup of hot coffee in a young employee’s face.
In surveillance footage obtained by South Carolina outlet WACH, an unnamed man was seen pulling up to the drive-through window of a local McDonald’s, where he allegedly asked for a manager because he had been waiting too long for his large order of fries. An incident report filed by police says the 16-year-old girl working that night ended up closing the window to avoid further confrontation with the man, who was becoming visibly irritated. He repeatedly asked the young employee to come back to the window, and when she did, he threw a cup of hot coffee in her face.
According to WACH, the employee then filed a report with the police, and officers later confirmed her story with the surveillance footage. The Camden Police Department didn’t immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment. However, the suspect will reportedly face a third-degree assault and battery charge when he is found.
