Martin Compston and Vicky McClure are set to solve the Christmas crime
Waitrose's star-studded Christmas 2024 advert has just added some new famous faces to it - and we think they may be able to crack the 'whodunnit' mystery.
Line of Duty star's Martin Compston and Vicky McClure have been teased to be in part two of the Waitrose's 'whodunnit' Christmas advert this year.
Showing a snippet of part two of the campaign on Waitrose's official Instagram, Martin Compston and Vicky McClure are seen trying to crack who stole the No.1 Waitrose Red Velvet Bauble Dessert, seen in part one of the advert.
With the festive cliffhanger being such a hit so far, viewers were quick to comment how they can't handle the anticipation any longer, and how this may be their favourite Christmas advert this year.
Launching part one of the Waitrose Christmas advert on Tuesday (5 November), this advert features a host of famous faces, including Matthew Macfadyen, Joe Wilkinson, Rahkee Thakrar, Sian Clifford, Dustin Demri-Burns and Eryl Maynard.
The 90-second film is centred around a family of food lovers who are preparing for the big Christmas Day feast, and then all of a sudden they notice No.1 Waitrose Red Velvet Bauble Dessert has gone missing.
The amateur detective, played by Matthew Macfadyen, is on a mission to uncover the culprit. Was it the disgruntled Grandma, or perhaps the perfect hostess, Samira, who’s had enough of the holiday chaos?
With so many suspects in the advert, we're also left wanting to know who could commit such a crime on Christmas Day.
With part 2 of the Christmas campaign set to be released in the upcoming weeks, Waitrose have confirmed that part two will reveal the dessert thief to the nation.
We can't wait to see the Line of Duty pros crack the Waitrose mystery!
