Husband gives wife his blessing - and just one rule - to find other men on dating apps
A woman has explained why her husband has accepted her downloading dating apps, explaining that he even helps her swipe to find other men and how it has brought them closer together.
Alexandra (Alex) Le Tissier, 31, a model from Southampton, has been in a monogamous relationship with her husband, Mitch, also 31, for over a decade, but while she is very much still in love with her partner she wanted to spice things up by dating other men.
Her solution was to ask Mitch if she could download a dating app to make new connections and he immediately agreed.
Alex's husband is so on board with it, in fact, that he's helped his wife sift through her many likes as she searches for another man.
"He's pretty open-minded," Alex says of her husband. "He's not judging in any way, so he's absolutely fine with it.
"The only rule we have is that it can only be for fun. It can't be anything serious."

Alex is using Bumble, which she's chosen because it gives women the opportunity to make the first move.
She says she has got strict criteria for any potential dates and admits that she's been whittling down her matches based on physical attributes.
"I've not even been through all of my matches yet," she says. "I have been culling people depending on things like their hairline and their age. It's been quite a fun experience," she adds.
Despite having a good idea about the kind of man she wants to date, as it is her first time on a dating app, Alex admits to making a few rookie errors including accidentally cutting someone she was interested in.
"I did accidentally swipe away like a barrister and I was absolutely gutted. I was like, 'No!'," she says.

While Alex has yet to go on a date with any of the men she's been chatting to, as she wants to have been messaging for a few weeks before meeting in person, she is excited at the prospect of dating someone new.
And in ideal world, Alex would like any potential new man to have her husband's approval. "I did actually let him swipe for me," she says. "It was funny. He knows my type - I like geeky guys."

While Alex and her husband are happy with this latest development in their relationship, not everyone has approved.
After Alex revealed she was on the apps on Twitter, some people actually contacted her husband to let him know, even though she joined with his consent.
"It's just really funny that people think that I would just do it without letting him know - and then post it on my Twitter," she says. "I just think that was a bit shady."

Despite being happy for his wife to date others, Alex says Mitch isn't really interested in doing the same himself.
Looking to the future, Alex believes dating other men will bring more fun into her life and says her decision to use dating apps has already brought her closer to her husband.
"I don't need to live my entire life with the same person over and over," she adds.
