MAFS UK mayhem as former brides storm back onto the show to settle scores tonight
It’s time for some familiar faces to return to Married At First Sight on Thursday 7 November, as the brides and grooms who remain go on separate girls’ and boys’ nights out, some of the husbands and wives who have left the show return and, as you’d expect, things don’t go very smoothly.
Show favourite Polly Selman, who is married to Adam Nightingale on the series, posted a hint of what is to come on Instagram, captioning a series of photos from the girls’ night out with the words: “Girls day started off so good and then…” Her post included photos of fellow brides Holly, Kristina, Charlie, Emma, Sionainn and Sacha, with their facial expressions ranging from surprised to not amused, presumably because they are reacting to the arrival of another former bride, Hannah, who didn’t get on with all the other wives when she appeared on the show.
Some fans wrote on Polly’s post, asking whether Hannah was bullied during the night out or whether she had anyone on her side during the evening. Polly replied that it was all positive, and added: “if they don’t show it I’ll be fuming.” However, following some more judgemental comments from her followers, she added to her story, writing: “I’d just like to say for everyone being a*******s under this post to me regarding tonight’s episode… A) it’s going to be deleted because it’s pathetic, B) you’re gonna feel really silly after watching this ep.” She added: “You’re gonna be really surprised when you watch it just because you’re going off facial expressions when in actual fact it’s quite the opposite.”

Polly also added a second heartfelt post, defending fellow bride Amy, who she wrote had received “abuse and nasty comments” recently. “You should be ashamed of yourselves,” she said. “None of you seem to remember or think about the fact the women in this series have been portrayed like monsters compared to the men, and what they’ve managed to get away with this series is f**king beyond me but there we go.”
“None of you were there throughout, and the fact after all these years of reality TV people still can’t grasp you see minutes of a 8 hour filming day.” Many of this year's brides have received abuse and hurtful comments on social media, and expert Mel Schilling previously revealed exclusively to OK! that she even received death threats during early seasons of the Australian version of the show, as viewers grew angry with how the experts were handling the couples, and expected them to be involved in every aspect of filming. “Our audience now know that we don’t get to see what our couples are doing day by day. We don’t have hidden cameras,” she explained.
