On September 14, the fashion industry’s biggest names will descend on the capital for London Fashion Week. With photographers, models and street style stars set to take over the city for a four-day celebration of the industry – it’s sure to be a glorious display of industry talent.
But for those of you wondering how to sneak into a show, there’s no need to fret.
With pop-up shops and insider talks set to take place during London Fashion Week, you don’t need a ticket to join in on the action.
From Anya Hindmarch’s must-see (must-Instagram) exhibition to the runway shows open to the public, look no further for your go-to guide to this season’s most talked about events.
London Fashion Week Festival
September 20 – September 23
Who said you needed to work in the industry to bag front row seats to some of this season’s most talked about shows? London Fashion Week Festival welcomes over 14,000 people every round thanks to its industry talks, style presentations and exclusive shopping galleries (we’re talking over 150 brands on offer).
This season, guests can take to the FROW to watch Mother of Pearl, Georgia Hardinge and Bobby Abley show their AW18 collections – with senior fashion director of LOVE magazine behind the styling.
For those hoping to crack the industry one day, the festival will host a series of talks with well-known fashion insiders. Alice Black, co-director of the Design Museum, will discuss her experience co-curating the ‘Azzedine Alaïa: The Couturier’ exhibition.
The Careers in Fashion talk will also return this season chaired by Glamour’s fashion director at large, Alexandra Fullerton.
From how to bag a set designer role to the experience needed for creative direction, the likes of creative director, Andre Bato, photographer Florian Joahn and set designer Suzanne Beirne will make up a panel of experts.

Future bloggers will also be pleased to learn that influencer and author of ‘Eat Smart’, Niomi Smart, will also be on hand over the weekend to give advice on how to utilise your social media platforms to further your digital presence. Online powerhouses Who What Wear and Byrdie will also be be joined by fellow industry insiders to offer their take on the topic.
Bumble x Charlotte Simone
September 15-16, 10am – 6pm
Female-first app Bumble has teamed up with designer Charlotte Simone to create a BFF Hub. The pop-up space is designed to encourage friends, both old and new, to have a much-needed catchup up between shows.
But you don’t need a ticket to attend, as everyone can visit the interactive space by simply downloading the Bumble app.

The BFF Hub will feature a friendship bracelet making station, boomerang swings and will have a good couple of gram-worthy photo opportunities throughout. It’s sure to be the friendliest spot during London Fashion Week.

Catch a fashion film between shows
To celebrate London Fashion Week September 2018, Vue is bringing ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and ‘McQueen’ back to the silver screen at the flagship Vue West End.
September 13
Featuring interviews from some of the late designer’s closest friends and alongside visuals of his outrageous and spectacular collections, make sure to check out the screening of ‘McQueen’ this Fashion Week.
September 18
If ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ is your guilty pleasure then you’re in for a treat this season. Set between New York and Paris, this hilarious tale of one fashion devotee’s attempt to crack the industry is still firmly in fashion, more than ten years later. That’s all.

Fashion Design, Storytelling and Performing Arts: An Evening with Matty Bovan
September 21 at 6.30pm
Designer Matty Bovan will present an installation created with artists Rory Mullen and Adam Leach in a conversation with curator Alison Moloney.
The talk will explore the creative process behind the Leeds Pavilion and the relationship between fashion and performance art. A must-see for creatives.

Fitness fanatics will be pleased to learn that the now-famous Another Space studio will be celebrating London Fashion Week with a themed spin class (complete with a fashionable playlist).
Stan Smith’s in-store signing at Dover Street Market
September 17, 4pm-6pm
London Fashion Week is the perfect opportunity to celeb-spot and it turns out, Stan Smith is in town. Yes, the world-famous tennis player will be at Dover Street Market on September 17 to sign copies of his new coffee table book. He will also be on hand to sign limited numbers of his trainers.
Anya Hindmarch’s Chubby Cloud Installation
September 14 – September 16
Last season, Anya Hindmarch penned a love letter to London by installing seriously Insta-worthy chubby hearts across the capital. Now, the designer is continuing the theme with an experiential exhibition in Whitehall’s Banqueting House.
Visitors will be able to clamber upon the world’s largest beanbag (inspired by the cloud motif which featured throughout her AW18 line) beneath the famous Rubens ceiling.
The three-day event will see a series of talks, meditations and stories take place from the Chubby Cloud which visitors will be able to book in advance. Highlights will include bedtime stories read by Poppy Delevingne and Claudia Winkleman while a must-see talk is set to take place with Lisa Armstrong and Imran Amed.
Those looking to refuel between shows, will also be able to chomp down on Chubby Cloud-inspired cakes in the pop-up café. Just make sure to bring your phone as it’s sure to prove gram-worthy.

Emilia Wickstead’s must-see window installations
September 12- September 23
To commemorate The May Fair’s 10th anniversary as the official London Fashion Week hotel, Emilia Wickstead has curated bespoke window installations.
Alongside the windows, the designer is also behind ‘The Emilia Collection’ – an exclusive range of cocktails inspired by her now-famous dresses. What are you waiting for? See you at the bar.
Q&A with Alexa Chung and Raven Smith at Liberty London

Alexa Chung and Raven Smith are celebrating their AW18 collection with a talk during London Fashion Week.
