Liz Hurley turns 55: The model's most iconic moments
Liz Hurley might not be spending her 55th birthday doing something ultra-glamorous, owing to the coronavirus restrictions, but that won’t stop us from rifling through her rather iconic back catalogue.
The actress and model has been responsible for some of the most sought-after looks of the past few decades and her career has certainly had its fair share of highlights.
Let’s not forget (as if we could) the Versace dress held together with gold safety pins.
Not content with simply modelling other brands’ clothes, the businesswoman even created her own range of swimwear in 2005, which she often models on her Instagram page.
The safety pin Versace dress was perhaps one of the model’s most talked-about fashion moments.
She turned up at Four Weddings And A Funeral premiere alongside her then-boyfriend, Hugh Grant, wearing the show-stopping black gown.
The premiere took place in 1994, almost three decades ago, and yet that Hurley dress is still talked about today.
Now, that’s how you leave a lasting impression.

Hurley and Grant were together from 1987 to 2000, making the pair one of the 2000’s most well-known celebrity couples.
They split in quite a spectacular fashion after Grant had what ended up being a very public affair. Despite this, Hurley has nothing but positive things to say about him.
In fact, he’s even godfather to her son Damian, who she had with American businessman, Steve Bing.
It’s not just Grant whom she remains on good terms with, either.
In a 2017 interview with the Mail On Sunday’s You magazine, Hurley admitted she was on good terms with all her former flames.

Despite dating some rather high-profile people, Hurley only married one - Arun Nayar - in a relationship that lasted from 2007-2011.
After this time she also dated cricketer Shane Warne from 2011 - 2013. The pair were engaged but went their separate ways before tying the knot.
Throughout her career, her acting, modelling and businesses have had numerous moments in the limelight, though.
In 2005, Hurley set up a swimwear business, a venture that she regularly promotes on her Instagram page.
In recent years, the business has come under some strain, with financial experts describing her venture, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, as “technically insolvent”.
Despite this setback, Hurley remains one of the icons of British modelling, three decades after she burst onto the scene.
With roles in everything from Mad Dogs And Englishmen to Austin Powers, she’s already had quite the illustrious career and at 55, she’s showing no signs of slowing down yet.
