Little Mix encourage fans to embrace body positivity in empowering new video
Little Mix hope their latest music video will “encourage and empower people to be who they are”.
The four-piece girl band promote body positivity and hit back at critics in a teaser for their latest single ‘Strip’ which is set to be released tomorrow.
In a sneak preview the group shared via their official Instagram page, Little Mix are pictured naked emblazoned with hateful words such as “fat” and “slutty” they have received from critics in the past.

The band captioned the image with lyrics from upcoming song: “Take off all my make-up cos I love what’s under it/Rub off all your words don’t give a f*** I’m over it/Jiggle all this weight, yeah you know I love all of this/Finally love me naked/Sexiest when I’m confident.”
For the video, the band – made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – enlisted the help of other inspirational women.
Mental health advocate and author Bryony Gordon stars in the clip alongside body positive muse Megan Jayne Crabbe.

Although the video has yet to be released, fans have already began to share their personal stories of body confidence issues via the hashtag #StripWithLittleMix.
Some took to the social media platform to speak candidly about their struggle with acne while others opened up about the pressures regarding their weight.
One took to Twitter to write: “‘Strip’ means a lot to me. I’ve struggled so much in the past with my scars, my visible disability and my weight. Seeing the little clip of the ‘Strip’ music video, it’s inspired me to show the real me, stripped.”

I used to hate how small I was bc of stupid comments especially at college when they said I should “eat more”. Or at school when people picked on how short I am. But because of the girls embracing their bodies and being themselves, I’ve learnt to not care!#StripWithLittleMix pic.twitter.com/hHuQDdIC6p

One social media user thanked the band for helping them to find confidence in their sexuality, as they tweeted: “I can’t thank @LittleMix and @PialovesLM enough for helping me to be confident in my sexuality! If it wasn’t for your support I wouldn’t be this proud! But you taught me that it’s okay to be gay and of people have a problem that’s their fault.”

#StripWithLittleMix all my life I’ve been told I’m too skinny, eat more, put on weight, why are your brows so thin?, where’s your upper lip? And now I love myself more than ever. I feel empowered 💞 pic.twitter.com/XLrmj5UwSg

this is so hard for me to share because i get so afraid but the first photo is from a few months ago when my acne was at its absolute worst. listening to these songs & being in this fandom helps me to feel okay without plastering on the foundation @LittleMix #StripWithLittleMix pic.twitter.com/JoqTnE6vtt

Another opened up about their scars and how Little Mix’s latest single helped them to speak candidly on social media about their personal struggle with self-confidence.
“When I was few days old, I had to have life saving surgery. the scar i have to these days was always one of my biggest insecurities. Since a while I started to accept it and stop constantly covering in the summer time. I made it. I survived.”
