A little girl who appeared less than thrilled by the opportunity to meet Melania Trump during a visit to the White House is the internet’s new hero.

On Tuesday, 30 sixth-grade students from Digital Pioneers Academy, a Washington, D.C., charter school that educates “the next generation of innovators,” according to its website, joined Trump and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in the White House Family Theater, a 40-seat viewing room.

The First Lady presented the 2017 film Wonder, about a boy with Treacher Collins syndrome, a condition that causes facial deformities. “The movie celebrates October’s National Bullying Prevention Month by highlighting the importance of choosing kindness — a core belief of Mrs. Trump’s Be Best campaign,” a spokesperson for Trump told the Hill.

In a viral image from the event — which Melania’s office tweeted — a little girl stands out in the crowd: She hangs back from the group, crossing her arms defiantly with a painfully bored expression on her face.

“This little girl with her arms folded is all of our spirit animals… lol,” wrote New York Times columnist Charles Blow on Instagram hashtagging the post #IReallyDontCareDoYou” in reference to Trump’s famous Zara jacket.

“The little girl in the middle with her arms crossed is going to grow up and achieve great things,” commented film producer Tariq Nasheed.

The girl, who may or may not have intended to make a point, became famous on social media for the brazen move.
