Lila Moss walks Met Gala red carpet with insulin pump and monitor
Lila Moss rocked the red carpet at the Met Gala on Monday night as her sheer gown revealed the insulin pump and monitor she wears for her Type 1 diabetes.
Arriving with supermodel mum Kate Moss, the 19-year-old mini me wore a a partly see-through Burberry gown, complete with the brand's letters and encrusted with diamonds.
Her insulin pod on her left leg and continuous blood glucose monitoring device on the back of her upper-right arm could be seen through her outfit, as the pair walked hand in hand into New York's Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art.

The up-and-coming model previously discussed her condition on Vogue's In The Bag YouTube series, with her carrying around many essential items to help manage it.
"I have some sugar tablets in case my blood sugar goes low," she said, pointing out her first useful item for the condition.
"I'm diabetic," she went on to explain, "so I have this [holding a black device] which controls a pod on my leg, which gives me insulin, so this is very important to keep in my bag."
"It comes with me everywhere," she added. "I even have, actually, an Apple AirTag and you can follow it around with your phone. It's like Find My Friends, but on your things."

Moss was last called an inspiration for representing people living with diabetes when she walked the runway for Fendi x Versace at Milan Fashion Week, again joining her mother.
Type 1 diabetes causes the level of glucose (sugar) in your blood to become too high, which happens when your body cannot produce enough of a hormone called insulin (this controls blood glucose, according to the NHS).
Managing type 1 diabetes can take a while to adjust to, though you can still do the things you enjoy – just as Moss does – by doing checks and adjustments to your levels throughout the day. Thankfully, due to developments in technology, finger-prick blood tests are no longer essential, and monitory systems can check blood glucose levels in real time, alerting the wearer to any important changes, also for prevention methods.
