Today marks the start of LGBT history month, a chance to whoop at the achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and continue to educate and inform about sexuality and gender identity.
There’s little doubt that the last decade has seen some positive strides forward in the fight for equality for the LGBT community and what better time to celebrate them, than at the beginning of a whole month dedicated to commemorating past victories, honouring hard-fought battles and giving props to the people who have helped instigate change for millions.
