Kylie Jenner criticised for 'inappropriate' wedding guest attire
Despite the couple being married a year ago in a civil ceremony in New York City, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin tied the knot again in a formal wedding at the Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel in South Carolina.
While the 25-year-old singer and 22-year-old model have kept details of their 154 person ceremony and reception under wraps thus far, one celebrity guest in particular is being accused of attempting to upstage the new Mrs. Bieber.
Kylie Jenner and beau Travis Scott were among the few high profile guests invited to the couple’s wedding celebration in South Carolina. Despite being longtime pals with the “Love Yourself” singer, the 22-year-old billionaire cosmetics mogul is under fire for her elaborate choice in wedding guest attire that some deemed inappropriate for the occasion.

In a post to Instagram, Jenner shared several photos of herself in a gold one shoulder gown with plunging keyhole neckline and thigh high slit with the newlywed’s wedding date as a caption, “9.30.19.”
While the star received praise from some of her more than 147 million followers for the daring look, many felt that Jenner missed the mark completely with the gilded “tin foil” ensemble.
“If someone showed up to my wedding dressed like that I’d be raging,” one user wrote. “Why are you dressing up so much for a wedding that isn’t yours? Sit down, ma’am.”
The dress gained comparisons to everything from Ferrero Rocher wrapper to a “$60,000 baked potato.” Many believed the look was the “golden ticket” to a winning look, others shamed the star for trying to steal the spotlight.
“One would think you were the one getting married,” another added. “So not appropriate for a wedding.”
A fan called out the “What is wrong with celebrities that they don’t know how to dress for a wedding?”
Jenner’s jaw-dropping look comes less than a week after the star was hospitalized due to “flu like symptoms” and forced to miss Paris Fashion Week. Despite the downtime, the Kylie Cosmetics founder hasn’t stayed away from social media, showing off photos of her body post-hospitalization writing that her “body was really pulling the f-ck through these days.”
