Kim Kardashian sparks controversy with topless photo taken by daughter North West
Kim Kardashian has come under fire after sharing a revealing photo taken by four-year-old daughter, North West.
In the Instagram snap captioned ‘By North’, the mum-of-three is pictured donning an unclasped bra with her child in the reflection of the mirror.
And despite being known for her love of provocative selfies, followers deemed her latest image a step too far.
One fan took to the social media platform to write:
“Wow!!! So during this time where most mothers are educating there kids (especially daughters) about the #metoo movement, you chose to teach your daughter to take racy pictures and post it online. You should be teaching her self worth and self respect with your clothes on!!!! This is low, even for you. Anything for attention @kimkardashian”
While another feared for her daughter’s future as they wrote, “We all have seen our mothers topless at some point, especially while breastfeeding. I think the real issue here is that, North might think it’s normal to take topless pictures and might practice the same thing at a older age.”
But others defended the reality television star against fans’ mum-shaming and insisted that the snap was a spontaneous spur of the moment decision.
“Okay, so knowing kids… North was probably playing with mummy’s phone while Kim was changing or getting dressed and took a picture of mommy from behind,” one fan wrote. “I understand how the photo looks but calling her a bad parent for her daughter taking a pic of her is a little extreme. You guys should relax, y’all just WANT to be mad at her for something!”
