Kim Kardashian reveals her black dress for sister Kourtney's wedding was a surprise rewear
Kim Kardashian has revealed a surprise fact about the black dress she wore to her sister Kourtney's recent wedding in Italy.
The star, 41, shared that the floor-length gown she chose for the glamorous nuptials in Portofino was actually a rewear from 2011.
Posting on Instagram, the mother-of-four said she delved back into her wardrobe to find the strapless Dolce & Gabbana frock.
She had originally bought the number more than a decade ago at the US department store Bergdorf Goodman to wear to the Glamour Women of Year Award in London.
However, while at the UK event, Kardashian – then in her early years of fame and dark-haired – accessorised with statement jewellery, she opted for a different look this time around.
The businesswoman revealed how she had layered the dress over a lacy slip dress from Vetements, and finished off the striking ensemble with a blonde up-do and a gold and emerald-cross necklace.
Discussing the sustainable sartorial move on her Instagram Story, she wrote: "Fun fact about this look for the wedding!
"I know you guys just saw me in my archive on last week's episode of The Kardashians! I have every piece photographed and on an app.
"So when I knew I was going to Italy (LOVE a theme for a trip) I pulled all my Dolce & Gabbana clothes to try on again and see if I could re-wear anything!
"The dress I wore to the wedding was a Dolce & Gabbana I purchased at Bergdorf Goodman in 2011 and wore it to the Glamour Awards.
"But to make the dress more modern and more me I wore this lace gloved Vetements dress I had in my closet for a layered lace look."
Many of her fellow guests also wore Dolce & Gabbana, and so did the bride who was marrying musician Travis Barker.
