Kim Kardashian hosts CBD themed baby shower complete with sound bath session

Kim Kardashian threw a CBD-themed baby shower over the weekend.

Ahead of the arrival of her fourth baby – who she is having via surrogate – the entrepreneur and reality television star treated guests to CBD-infused cosmetics, a sound bath session and even flower arranging with cannabis leaves.

She shared footage of the lavish do via Instagram Stories to her 136 million followers.

Each guest was given a pair of navy blue Yeezy slides as a party favour, Kim revealed on her Stories.

Celebrity guests included Kim’s mum Kris Jenner, her sister Kourtney Kardashian, and socialite Paris Hilton.

In a video posted to a Kim Kardashian fan account, Kim explains her reasoning behind hosting a CBD themed shower.

"So, because I’m freaking out and the baby is coming in, like, two weeks, I thought what better way to celebrate than to have a little CBD," she says in the video.

“It’ll only be 10 minutes, but I thought it would be, like, cool for us to do… Let’s zen out on a Saturday.

“I thought it was kind of ridiculous to have a fourth baby shower. But I thought, I’m freaking the f**k out having a fourth kid."

"So everyone have a puff and put on some oil," she finished.

Model and author Chrissy Teigen was also in attendance.

She posted a video of herself at the shower, together with Kourtney, hairdresser Jen Atkin, and Kim’s former assistant Stephanie Shepherd.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, popularly shortened to CBD, is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant.

However, unlike tetrahydrocannabionol (THC) – another component from the plant regularly found in marijuana – CBD is non-intoxicating.

It is legal both here in the UK and in California, where Kim hosted the party.
