Kendall Jenner targeted by cruel online trolls at 2018 Golden Globe Awards
Model Kendall Jenner is facing backlash after attending last night’s 75th annual Golden Globe Awards.
The model was mocked on Twitter for her surprising debut, as it is not understood how she bagged an invite to the prestigious celebration of film and television.
One Twitter user quipped, “Was she nominated for that Pepsi commercial?” in reference to last year’s controversial advert which trivialised the Black Lives Matter movement.
Another social media user agreed and tweeted: “The only ‘acting’ she’s done was in that awful Pepsi advert”.
The tone-deaf advertisement was pulled by the fizzy drinks firm back in April 2017 and Jenner admitted she was “devastated” to have caused offence.

okay y’all i swear i’m gonna stop after this but how did kendall jenner have the audacity to turn up to the golden globes like i can’t think of a person who would look more out of place there than she does? the only “acting” she’s done was in that awful pepsi advert

But the mocking sadly did not stop there. In a barrage of cruel trolling, the model faced criticism over her acne with one user writing, “nothing pleases me more in life than Kendall Jenner having bad skin.”
But thankfully, the model’s fans raced to defend the 22-year-old:
To the people attacking and criticizing Kendall Jenner’s skin, YOU’RE the reason why people with skin blemishes (of all sorts) are insecure. She could’ve canceled but instead chose to attend to support the “Time’s Up” movement.

All these people making fun of Kendall Jenner’s skin as if they aren’t using Facetune on every picture of themselves.

The model arrived at the awards ceremony last night in a frothy Giambattista Valli gown which boasted such a lengthy train that an assistant had to help the model throughout the evening.

But even her all-black commitment to the #TimesUp movement didn’t receive praise on social media, as one user wrote: “Strong women fighting for the rights of other women and the other side Kendall Jenner.”
