Kate Moss makes her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut in black lace
If there's any model who has earned her Victoria's Secret angel wings, it's got to be Kate Moss. So it made perfect sense that the industry legend made her surprise debut appearance on the lingerie brand's comeback runway in New York City last night (Tuesday 15 October).
Following hot on the heels of her daughter, Lila Moss, Kate emerged on the catwalk looking incredible in a black cut-out bodysuit under a matching sheer lace slip. Oversized hoop earrings and black feathered angel wings were the vampy finishing touch. Predictably, cheers erupted as Kate stole the show while 'I Love Rock'n'Roll' played (a suitable choice given the edgy Nineties look she became known for).
Lila, meanwhile, made her first appearance in a blush-pink look comprising a star-printed bra and string bikini, accessorised with a statement body chain, tasselled jacket and 'wings' that looked like sparkler writing, spelling out 'Lila' and 'VS'.
It's rare that Kate graces the runway these days, but she has walked with Lila before, at Kim Jones' SS21 haute couture show. In an amusing interview with British Vogue in 2023, the 22-year-old revealed that her mum has been of little help when it comes to nailing her modelling technique. 'She's fully supported every decision I've made. She hasn't helped me with my walk, though. She's like, 'You just have to feel it. I don't know what I do. I just do it!' I'm like, "Cool, off to practice some more, then..."'.
Elsewhere in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which returned with a fresh and more inclusive direction after a five-year hiatus, highlights included Tyra Banks, Carla Bruni and Gigi Hadid.
