Kate Moss says daughter Lila dubbed her famous Vivienne Westwood mini skirt 'too short'
It’s common for most teens to be somewhat embarrassed by their parents' fashion choices, but when your mum is Kate Moss, you'd assume the cringe factor would be minimal. Not for Lila Moss, Kate Moss’ daughter, who the 48-year-old model recently revealed scolded her for wearing a now-famous mini skirt in the early Nineties.
The supermodel was revisiting her most famous looks in a new video for British Vogue’s Life in Looks YouTube series, when she came across an outfit which included a teeny mini skirt by British designer Vivienne Westwood that she wore in 1993.
The look made headlines at the time when Moss hit the catwalk for the London designer’s spring/summer 1994 collection when she donned the tiny mini skirt, went topless and ate an ice cream as she strutted for the runway show.
Talking through the look, Moss revealed how the ice cream addition came about. “This was one of my favourites,” she began.
“This is a Vivienne Westwood show and it was a Magnum ice cream and they just said, ‘Eat that as you go out with no top on,’” Moss revealed, giggling at the memory.
“And I was like, ‘Yeah I'll try,’” she added. “I managed that. And those heels as well!”

Supermodel Moss continued laughing as she revealed that her 19-year-old daughter Lila thought her skirt was way “too short”.
“That skirt, I've got one and Lila, she's like, ‘Mummy! It's so short!’” she mimicked, adopting a mock-horrified voice in a fond impression of her daughter.
And her response? “Yeah, you're supposed to see your knickers...” she deadpanned.
Lila, who is also a model, made her catwalk debut for Miu Miu in 2020, and has been praised for wearing her blood glucose monitor and insulin pump in fashion shows.
Moss also admitted that she turns to Lila, who is also a model, for fashion advice these days and reflected on their looks from her daughter’s first Met Gala red carpet earlier this year.
Lila, who lives with Type 1 Diabetes, stunned in a nude-coloured, sheer and sequinned Burberry gown, which also left her monitor and pump on display.
“She couldn't go to the toilet but she loved her look,” Moss added.
